As Brian Skoyles pulled up outside the Hallcroft fisheries café and tackle shop, the carp park was full, as was the café itself. It was time for the draw on this year’s Daiwa Dealer Day.

Daiwa consultant Brian Skoyles has just returned from a short but spectacular trip to a new venue called Jay Lake in central France. There with good friend Bill Cottam at the invite of owners Paul and Debbie Smith, Brian and Bill banked 16 carp to just over 53lb in three days, superb fishing by any standards.
