At 10’ with a 4lb test curve this model will serve primarily boat work. The combination of control and cushion is always a challenge with a short rod but this Black Widow edition nails it.
Where casting baits from the bank is the plan, there are two 12’ choices. The 3lb model has often been the ‘go to’ choice and remains the most popular. Again, it offers enough backbone for propelling the baits but the level of action required to play pike. For bigger baits or fishing further the 3.5lb edition is a good fit. Offering more casting power and playing control for range, it still serves enough cushion for when those big fish are nearing the net.
Thanks to HMC+ carbon all models feel perform well above their price point. The are also finished with a distinctive mottled water pattern on the butt and a matt finish on the tip. All handles feature Cork with duo tone camo EVA.
Stainless steel frame guides with Zirconia ceramic are well suited to mono or braid.
