The big chub fell to legered bread, and came from a day ticket stretch of the River Swale. The fish is the most recent specimen to be recorded on camera for the DVD’s, which follow Bob and Stuart Walker as they attempt to catch ten different target species in 20 different acts.
“It’s one thing to catch a few barbel on film, but quite something else to embark on a campaign to catch quality specimens of all the popular species throughout the kind of conditions the British climate can throw at you” explained Bob.
“Plus just to make things a little trickier, we decided to ‘keep it real’ by sticking pretty much to our local waters.”
The first two parts of Caught in the Act will be lunched on 1st May, and feature fishing throughout spring and summer, with parts 3 and 4 due to be released for Christmas and covering autumn and winter fishing. Trailers will be released very shortly.
