The highly anticipated event is seen by many carp anglers as the main event in European carp fishing where all that is new for the forthcoming carp season will be on show.
However the big surprise for everyone turned out to be the weather. Set up day was greeted with freezing conditions and heavy snow. This left the organisers and exhibitors worried that the weather would hit attendances.
Friday night temperatures crashed to -24 degrees in places but the snow stayed away. In fact bright sun shine and well over 5000 anglers graced the Saturday leaving everyone very pleased. The good weather and excellent attendances repeated themselves on Sunday and the buzz and atmosphere was superb.
The Daiwa stand was well staffed by Dutch, UK and German teams and visitors were able to access all our carp rods and reels. The new Mission range offered the biggest surprise for most as its new design, look and features left people staggered when they saw the highly attractive RRP’s. It was also the first public showing if the iB bite alarm (not available in the UK). This groundbreaking new design had been kept well under wraps throughout its development and proved highly popular feature of the stand.
Overall the Daiwa team were delighted by the show and would like to thank the organisers for another excellent event.
