After initially leaving his rods at home, Dave Gawthorn was glad he made the effort to go back and get them when he landed this personal best 16lb 10oz bream.
"I landed the fish at night on a piece of Enterprise Plastic Corn that had been soaked in Betalin for 12months. This was fished over a lightly spodded area at approximately 90 meters, with the spod mix containing corn, Hinders Wet N Dry, and 3mm Hi-Betaine Pellets" explained Dave.
"The fish has featured in both Angling Times and Anglers Mail and to my knowledge is the biggest bream from the South West caught by design."
