Almost a year after catching a pb mirror from Etang Meunier in France, Martyn Skoyles returned to the venue and caught the same fish for a second time.
This time the big mirror weighed in just over a pound heavier at 56lb 12oz, and came as part of a 16 fish catch shared with dad Brian during a week long family holiday. The haul included nine other fish over the 40lb mark up to 47lb 12oz.
“The fish battled really hard and I knew it was something special when I lifted the net from the water. However it was only when I saw it on the bank that I thought it looked familiar, although I certainly wasn’t complaining at catching it again” explained Martyn.
